DCS Training set up as a Community Interest company in 2007. DCS Training – CIC are a non-profit making organisation.
DCS have built lasting relationships with other social issue service providers in the region.
DCS Training – CIC moved to a new training-centre in Newcastle upon Tyne also in 2007 and have seen some great success stories. Winning the support of various industry bodies, as well as Newcastle City Council and many Charities and not-for-profit organisations is allowing DCS to deliver the same provision elsewhere.
DCS began working closely with various organisations to provide the same opportunities that the business started with to other vulnerable groups. Passing on skills and experience to allow these individuals to take those skills back to communities where it is most needed and as a new skill to progress themselves personally.

DCS are also a driving force in helping to close the skills shortage in the construction industry, particularly with the nearing deadline of the World Olympics being held in London, leaving a bigger gap in local construction communities.
DCS run construction courses for people interested in gaining additional construction skills to go alongside current ones to people looking for a complete career change or those simply wanting to carry out their own work.
